Ivanova Korita - A paradise for nature lovers in the heart of Lovćen National Park

Located at 1,250 meters above sea level, within Lovćen National Park, Ivanova Korita is one of the most beautiful and most visited excursion sites in Montenegro. This mountainous area, about 15 km from Cetinje, delights visitors with its natural beauty, clean air, diverse facilities, and historical significance.

Ivanova Korita is surrounded by old beech and pine forests, providing shade and a მშვიდ, tranquil atmosphere—perfect for walking, picnics, or simply relaxing in the fresh mountain air. Interestingly, this is where continental and Mediterranean climates meet, creating air that has a beneficial effect on both body and mind, especially for people with respiratory issues.

The name of the place comes from a historical legend about Ivan Crnojević, the founder of Cetinje, who, according to tradition, built a stone water trough from a natural spring in this area, leaving a lasting legacy for future generations.

Ivanova Korita is an ideal place for organizing summer and winter camps for children, chamber music camps, language courses, and sports camps. The recreational-educational center also includes two outdoor sports fields suitable for various activities, while during the winter season, ski equipment is available to guests free of charge.
