Hiking trail Ivanova Korita - Kraljevo Počivalo - Zlatarice (Kotor - Lovćen cable car)

The trail begins at the Visitor Center of Lovćen National Park at Ivanova Korita and heads south along the slopes of Treštenički Peak. The initial section is the steepest, but it soon turns into a pleasant and easy walk through dense beech forest.

Thanks to this natural shade, the trail is especially suitable during the summer months, offering refreshment and comfortable temperatures.

The trail is classified as easy and is suitable for a wide range of visitors—from recreational hikers to families with children. It partially follows trail 751, which is part of the coastal-mountain traverse “Orjen – Lovćen – Rumija.”

For those seeking additional adventure, this route also offers detours to some of the most beautiful peaks of the Lovćen massif: Treštenički Peak (1489 m), Babina Glava (1474 m), and Babljak (1604 m).

It is also worth visiting the Dolovi katun—a traditional mountain settlement that is now being revitalized through restored structures.

One of the most beautiful sections of the trail runs along the western slopes of Treštenički Peak through dense beech forest, while later the terrain opens up beneath the southern slopes of Babljak.

A special highlight of this route are the viewpoints, offering breathtaking views of the Bay of Tivat and panoramic vistas of the Lovćen massif’s interior.

This combination of sea and mountain landscapes makes the trail unique and visually stunning.

Part of the trail from the Vjetreni Mlin locality leads towards the new cable car, passing near the Dolovi katun. The final segment follows a gravel road through the forest, adding to the relaxing end of the hike.

The trail ends at Zlatarice, where the modern “Kotor – Lovćen” cable car complex begins, giving you the opportunity to continue your adventure in a completely different way—with a spectacular ride above the Bay of Kotor.
